good friends

Today was a good day. I talked to my good friend Katie and we decided to get together today. Then my friend Alyssa called and said she'd be in my neighborhood and wanted to kick it. So we went to my Mama's house and they came driving up with a new kiddie pool with a built in slide! Rock on. So the kids played and swam. Then Alyssa showed up and the kids all played in the back yard. Then we went to my House and Katie came. All the kids played very well together and we didn't lose Duma (our new kitten).
Meanwhile we read cookbooks or looked at teh yummy pictures. Flipped through gardening books, and shared wedding stories. I think Alyssa had the best one. Or worse I am not sure. We had a good time. I was sad when everyone had to go home. I actually had time with adults talking about things I like talking about. It was fun.

the awesomest guy.

So our home teacher is named Josh and Lucas told us Sunday that he was the awesomest guy. That made me laugh. However, josh is also a dentist so we took Lucas and Eden in on Monday. His office was amazing! The kids side had a jungle room and a under the sea room. The waiting room had a hidden picture mural, stuffed animals, books, games and video games. Amazing.
We took Lucas in the did the x-rays and then started checking his teeth. Lucas had 4 cavities. Hello bad Mom moment. I blame it on the sippy cups that I have allowed him to use for my own selfish reasons. Eden had no cavities yea!
Anyway I wish I video taped Josh cleaning and giving Lucas fillings and such. It was amazing. Lucas and Eden's experience was so positive that they went home and played "Josh" they were dentists.
We have to go back today for 2 more fillings. But Lucas is excited to go. Maybe it is because he got to pick a prize from the treasure chest and from the points prizes. I am telling you I thought I had a good dentist growing up. But Josh was amazing!!! We are totally going to have to do something nice for him.
